Medusa greets the audience through dance. Jane Catherine Shaw, Basil Twist, and Sarah Provost manipulated the giant moving sculpture. I and fellow movers danced and led like ancient priests.
Theodora Skipitares designed Medusa's skirts to open up as a passage for the audience into the theater and into an exploration of politics and medicine.
When Theodora Skipitares asked me, Jack Shamblin, to write Tim Bailey's monologue, it gave a chance to express in two minutes all my fear, anger, and hurt at being held as a second class citizen because of homophobia. I wrote this piece imagining what Tim Bailey, an AIDS activist and performance artist, would say if his corpse could speak again.
